// Key Takeaways
- Andrews Recruitment Group recruits Project and Construction Managers, Package and Site Engineers, Grid and Electrical Engineers, O&M and Asset Management teams and Development and Commercial staff for UK renewable energy projects.
- ARG supplies capacity two ways: contract for immediate cover and permanent hires backed by a 12-week guarantee.
- Coverage spans onshore and offshore wind, solar PV and battery storage, grid and network connections, EPC delivery, operations and asset management, and development.
- GWO training, offshore medicals and electrical authorisation are checked before a CV is sent, not after an offer.
WHY ARG DELIVERS
RISK-FREE PARTNERSHIP
A 12-week staggered replacement guarantee keeps our focus on Right Fit, not fast fill. Your investment is protected from day one.
FLEXIBLE TERMS
30-day payment terms from the candidate first day. Your cash flow stays intact while you onboard specialist renewables talent.
TICKETS CHECKED FIRST
GWO module currency, offshore medical validity, electrical authorisation level and CDM duty-holder competence are verified before a CV reaches you, not after an offer.
WE KNOW THIS MARKET
Renewables is not one labour market, and the thing that catches employers out is how little transfers between its halves. A developer securing land and a grid offer, an EPC package manager running civils and electrical subcontractors through construction, and an asset manager optimising availability across an operating portfolio are three different careers that happen to share a technology. Offshore adds a further filter that has nothing to do with engineering at all: without current GWO modules and a valid offshore medical, a candidate cannot go to site, however good the CV is. Generalist agencies submit across all of it interchangeably because the job titles rhyme. They don't.
WHAT A POOR RENEWABLES HIRE ACTUALLY COSTS YOU
Renewable projects are financed on a timetable and operated on availability. A hire who cannot hold either costs money in ways that are measured and reported to investors.
Renewable projects are financed against an energisation date. A project or commissioning manager who cannot hold the sequence pushes first power into the next period, and the cost of that is measured in lost generation revenue rather than in recruitment fees.
An offshore hire without current GWO modules and a valid medical cannot board the vessel, whatever the CV says. Training currency lapses quietly, and discovering it at mobilisation rather than at shortlist costs a crew change and a weather window.
Connection applications run to defined processes with defined deadlines. An engineer who understands HV design but not how an application progresses through the DNO and the system operator can let a position slip, and a connection date is not something you can buy back.
On an operating asset the contract is written around availability. A weak O&M or asset manager does not announce themselves; availability drifts a point or two, response times stretch, and it surfaces as a liquidated damages conversation months later.
The construction phase of a wind, solar or storage project is construction work, so CDM 2015 applies and the Principal Contractor owns the construction phase plan. Filling that position with someone who cannot discharge it is a legal exposure, not just a performance problem.
The most common renewables hiring failure is a competent person from the wrong half of the sector. A developer is not a delivery manager, an onshore civils package manager is not a BESS commissioning lead, and solar volume experience does not transfer to turbine erection. The CVs read alike enough that generalist agencies submit them interchangeably.
Our 12-week Right Fit guarantee exists because we understand what a failed hire costs on a live project. We verify training, check tickets and authorisations, and replace at no additional fee if a placement exits within the guarantee window for reasons within our control.

ROLES WE RECRUIT
Renewables is four labour markets rather than one, and people move between them far less than the shared technology suggests. Explore a role for what the market pays, which certifications are a gate rather than a preference, and where the transferability traps are:
