ARG's specialist sectors are Building Materials (technical sales and supply chain), Manufacturing (production, plant, and M&E / building services), Automation & Controls (PLC, SCADA, robotics and instrumentation), Industrial Engineering (maintenance, process and plant leadership), Civil Engineering (highways, structures and groundworks), and Renewable Engineering (wind, solar, storage and grid).
Both. ARG works with hiring businesses seeking specialist talent, and with candidates looking for their next role across those sectors. Both can register via the website for immediate access.
Andrews Recruitment Group operates UK-wide, placing candidates across England, Scotland and Wales. We are not limited to one geography, we follow the talent.
Andrews Recruitment Group was founded in 2024, and the owner has been placing specialist talent across the UK and internationally for over 10 years, building deep expertise in Building Materials, Manufacturing, Automation & Controls, Industrial Engineering, Civil Engineering and Renewable Engineering sectors.
The Candidate Cloud is ARG's pre-market talent pool. Candidates upload their CV and are matched to roles before they are publicly advertised, giving them first-mover advantage in their sector.
No. Registration with the ARG Candidate Cloud is completely free for candidates. We only charge clients for successful placements.
Once registered in the Candidate Cloud, you receive live role alerts as they become available in your sector. Response times depend on live demand, but our consultants aim to engage within 48 hours of a match.
No. Many candidates register while still employed to access future opportunities first. Think of it as 'career insurance', you're in the system when the right role appears.
All candidates are matched through IvyLens, the platform we use under licence, which identifies the top talent, not just based on their experience but also based on the current market and trends. Matched candidates then have a call with one of our respected team to talk through qualification verification, right-to-work checks, and sector-specific technical assessments depending on the role.
ARG offers three primary models: PSL (Preferred Supplier List) partnerships for retained access, Fractional Talent Lead for part-time embedded support, and RPO (Recruitment Process Outsourcing) for full hiring infrastructure.
Pricing varies by service model. Contingent placements operate on success-based fees (industry standard 15-20%), while Fractional and RPO models use fixed monthly retainers. All pricing is transparent and discussed during initial consultation.
ARG is not a generalist agency. We focus exclusively on our own specialist sectors, with deep technical knowledge of each. We combine traditional recruitment expertise with RecXchange, our own platform, and IvyLens, which we use under licence from its owner Tom Andrews, for faster, higher-quality placements.
Time-to-hire depends on seniority and sector complexity. For technical sales and industrial engineering roles, expect 2-4 weeks from brief to shortlist. Senior manufacturing and M&E roles may take 4-6 weeks due to vetting requirements.
RecXchange is ARG's collaborative recruitment platform where recruiters, freelance talent scouts, and hiring businesses connect. It operates on a token-based economy, enabling role sharing, candidate sourcing, and collaborative placements.
IvyLens is an independently owned software and intelligence platform created and owned by Tom Andrews, founder of Andrews Recruitment Group. It includes a browser extension for LinkedIn scanning and a web platform for qualification verification, technical assessment, and candidate profiling. Andrews Recruitment Group uses IvyLens under licence; all intellectual property rights in IvyLens remain with Tom Andrews.
The live placement ticker on the homepage shows real, anonymised placements happening right now, giving clients and candidates confidence that ARG is actively placing, not just advertising.
