- Support budgeting, cost management and continuous improvement
- Oversee earthworks and restoration activities where required
- Maintain accurate production, safety and environmental records
- Develop positive relationships with the local community and other stakeholders
- Report quarry performance directly to senior management
What We're Looking For
This position requires somebody with genuine quarrying experience and sufficient competence to hold the statutory appointment.
You should ideally have:
- Previous experience as a Quarry Manager, Assistant Quarry Manager, Section Manager, Quarry Supervisor or similar
- Previous experience within the quarrying and aggregates industry
- Demonstrable competence for a Regulation 8 appointment
- Comprehensive understanding of the Quarries Regulations 1999

- Knowledge of earthworks and quarry restoration
- Strong Health, Safety & Environmental knowledge
- Experience leading and developing operational teams
- Good commercial awareness and understanding of quarry costs
- Strong communication and decision-making skills
- Full UK driving licence
A relevant quarrying/minerals qualification is highly desirable, alongside SHE NVQ Level 6 or above, or currently working towards it. IOSH Managing Safely would also be advantageous.

- Permanent, full-time position
- Employee discount scheme
- Senior operational responsibility
- Opportunity to manage established quarry operations
- Direct reporting line to the Production Director
