Are you a Quantity Surveyor looking to work on infrastructure, highways or heavy construction projects connected to the aggregates and building materials sector?

We are recruiting for an established business looking to strengthen its commercial team with an experienced Quantity Surveyor.

Based in the Chatham area, you will support the commercial management of projects from procurement and contract administration through to valuations and final accounts.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Managing the commercial performance of projects
• Preparing and reviewing valuations
• Managing subcontractor packages
• Issuing tender enquiries and reviewing submissions
• Assessing subcontractor payment applications
• Supporting cost value reconciliation and commercial reporting
• Managing variations and change
• Monitoring project costs and commercial risk
• Supporting contract administration
• Working closely with operational and project teams
• Building strong relationships with clients and supply chain partners
• Supporting projects through to final account

What We Are Looking For

We are interested in Quantity Surveyors or experienced Assistant Quantity Surveyors with backgrounds in:

• Highways
• Civil engineering
• Surfacing
• Infrastructure
• Utilities
• Construction
• Heavy industrial projects

Experience with NEC contracts would be advantageous, although candidates with strong JCT experience and an understanding of NEC structures will also be considered.
