We are recruiting for a Mechanical Fitter to support a busy aggregates and heavy industrial operation in the Dartford area.

You will join an experienced maintenance team responsible for keeping critical production equipment safe, reliable and operational.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Mechanical breakdown response and fault diagnosis
• Planned and preventative maintenance
• Maintaining conveyors and bulk material handling systems
• Replacing bearings, rollers, belts and mechanical components
• Working on gearboxes, pumps, motors and drive systems
• Welding and fabrication repairs
• Supporting planned shutdowns
• Completing plant inspections
• Identifying recurring faults and recommending improvements
• Working closely with production and operational teams
• Maintaining high health and safety standards

What We Are Looking For

You may currently be working as a:

• Mechanical Fitter
• Plant Fitter
• Maintenance Engineer
• Mechanical Maintenance Engineer
• Quarry Fitter

Experience within quarrying or aggregates would be ideal, although we are equally interested in engineers from heavy industrial environments.

The important thing is that you understand mechanical plant, enjoy fault finding and are comfortable getting hands-on.
