Are you an experienced Quarry Manager who knows how to run a safe, productive and commercially successful quarry operation?
We are recruiting for an established aggregates business looking for a Quarry Manager to take responsibility for a busy quarry operation in Derbyshire.
This is a senior operational role with genuine ownership of site performance. You will lead the team, drive production, maintain high safety standards and ensure the quarry continues to deliver against customer and business requirements.
The Role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of quarry operations, including:
- Leading and developing quarry employees and operational teams
- Managing production and ensuring output targets are achieved
- Maintaining high standards of health, safety and environmental compliance
- Ensuring compliance with Quarry Regulations and site procedures
- Managing contractors and external suppliers
- Monitoring plant performance and supporting maintenance planning
- Driving operational efficiency and continuous improvement
- Managing site costs, resources and operational budgets
- Working closely with commercial, logistics and wider operational teams
- Maintaining accurate operational and compliance records
What We Are Looking For
We are interested in speaking with experienced Quarry Managers, Assistant Quarry Managers or senior quarry professionals ready to take the next step.
You will ideally have:
- Experience working within quarrying, aggregates or heavy industrial operations
- Strong knowledge of quarry safety and operational compliance
- Experience leading operational teams
- A practical understanding of fixed and mobile processing plant
- Strong organisational and problem-solving skills
- The confidence to take ownership of site performance
Relevant quarry management qualifications would be advantageous.
