An established infrastructure contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor to join its growing commercial team, supporting a portfolio of major highways and civil engineering projects across the South East.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Quantity Surveyor looking to work on large-scale infrastructure schemes, or an ambitious Assistant Quantity Surveyor ready to take the next step in their career.

The Opportunity
Working alongside an experienced commercial leadership team, you'll be responsible for the commercial management of infrastructure projects from commencement through to final account.
You'll collaborate with operational teams, clients and supply chain partners to maximise project performance while ensuring commercial compliance and financial control throughout the project lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Commercial management of highways and civil engineering projects
- Managing subcontract procurement, tender enquiries and contract administration
- Preparing monthly applications for payment, valuations and cost reports
- Producing CVRs, forecasts and financial reporting
- Managing compensation events and early warning notices under NEC contracts
- Supporting agreement of final accounts
- Monitoring project costs, commercial risks and cash flow
- Building strong relationships with clients, subcontractors and internal stakeholders
- Ensuring projects remain commercially compliant throughout delivery
About You
We're interested in speaking with Quantity Surveyors from sectors including:
- Highways
- Road Surfacing
- Civil Engineering
- Infrastructure
- Utilities
- Groundworks
- Rail
- Construction
You'll ideally have:
- Previous Quantity Surveying experience within infrastructure or civil engineering
- Strong subcontract management experience
- Commercial awareness and excellent financial management skills
- Strong negotiation and stakeholder management abilities
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Excel and commercial reporting
- NEC3 or NEC4 contract experience (highly desirable)
- Full UK driving licence
Applications are also welcomed from Assistant Quantity Surveyors ready to progress into a fully-fledged Quantity Surveyor position.
Qualifications
- Degree in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline preferred
- HND, HNC or Qualified by Experience will also be considered
