Role Overview

Renewable Energy Electrician

Location: North West
Salary: £35,000–£50,000 DOE
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

The Opportunity

We are recruiting for an experienced Renewable Energy Electrician to join an established and growing renewable energy business operating across the North West.

This role would suit a fully qualified electrician with hands-on experience across Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging systems who wants to continue developing within the renewable energy sector.

The position is particularly attractive for someone looking to reduce excessive nationwide travel, as the work is focused predominantly across the North West.

What You'll Be Doing

You'll be working across customer sites, carrying out electrical installation and associated works across a range of renewable energy systems.

Typical responsibilities will include:

  • Installing and commissioning Solar PV systems
  • Installing battery energy storage systems
  • Installing EV charging equipment
  • Completing associated electrical installation works
  • Testing, inspection and certification
  • Fault finding and remedial work where required
  • Ensuring installations meet current electrical regulations
  • Working safely and professionally within customer properties
  • Coordinating with wider installation and technical teams
  • Supporting other renewable technologies where required

Experience with air-source heat pumps would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We're Looking For

Applicants should be fully qualified electricians with practical renewable installation experience.

Ideally, you will have:

  • Level 3 electrical qualification / NVQ or equivalent
  • 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
  • Strong Solar PV installation experience
  • Battery storage experience
  • EV charger installation experience
  • Good testing and fault-finding ability
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Strong Health & Safety awareness
  • Professional customer-facing approach
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Additional qualifications or experience relating to EESS, Solar PV, EV charging, JIB/ECS status or heat pumps would be advantageous.

Why Consider It?

This is an opportunity to join an established renewable energy specialist working across some of the fastest-growing areas of the domestic energy market.

The role offers:

  • Predominantly North West-based work
  • Exposure to Solar PV, battery storage and EV charging
  • Long-term opportunity within the renewable energy sector
  • Variety across installation, commissioning and fault finding
  • Reduced nationwide travel compared with many renewable installation roles
  • Opportunity to work within a specialist rather than a general electrical contractor
